REQUIRE FUNDS FOR TREATMENT TO SURVIVE FROM CANCER
Introduction
My name is Nishmitha M G. I am 19 years old and currently pursuing engineering from Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri in the branch of Information Science.

I am diagnosed with cancer in February. It started as a lump below the knee and was recognized as OSTEOSARCOMA, Stage 4. CT (thorax and bone) and PET CT was done that showed the lump near the knee and few nodules in the lungs. Biopsy was done that confirmed the diagnosis wherein 2 sessions of chemotherapy before surgery, surgery and 3 sessions of chemotherapy after surgery is required to be done. I have lost all my hair and have been spending most of my time in hospitals for tests and treatments. My mother has taken leave from her job and takes good care of me.

About my Family:
My Father’s name is M. Gangadhar, he works as a phone mechanic (outdoor work) in BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) , the Government of India telephone Department. He is suffering from liver problems and was admitted for the second time in January for treatment which cost us dearly.
My Mother’s name is Kamala P J, she works as a Staff Nurse in General Government hospital, Karkala. With my father being in the hospital and my condition she has struggled a lot managing work, home, and has taken many leaves from her work.
My younger brother’s name is Prashanth M G, he has just completed his 9th standard.
Government Schemes:
Even though both my parents are Government servants. This is why I am not getting any support from the Government.
Through my mom: There is a scheme called Jyothi Sanjeevini but it is for dependents below the age of 18, and my medicine codes do not come under any scheme available by the Government.
Through my dad: There are only selected hospitals that come under any help. And surrounding hospitals per area. Since I require treatment in various hospitals and there is only one place that can conduct ortho-oncology surgery this is of no help either.
About the Treatment:
Cancer is a very expensive disease. From the initial tests to the treatment it has been heavy on the pocket. I am currently undergoing my 2nd session of Chemotherapy in Shirdi Sai Cancer Hospital, Manipal.  Diagnostic tests were done to determine my condition after which 2 sessions of chemotherapy before surgery, surgery and post-surgery 3 sessions of chemotherapy was suggested. Below is the expense list till date and estimated overall cost.
